A new study shows that dancing seems to have special powers when it comes to stress relief. The research, published in Psychology of Sport & Exercise, found that dancing weaves together music, rhythm, social connection, and physical movement to create what might be the perfect recipe for stress relief. Plenty of evidence was found that just listening to music can lower anxiety and help people relax – because music kicks our brain’s reward system into gear, releasing feel-good chemicals, while dialing down cortisol, our body’s main stress hormone. But when you combine that with the stress-busting effects of physical movement, and add the positive effects of touch and social support that one gets from dancing with a partner, it results in an unbeatable cocktail of stress-busters. The researchers say the evidence suggests that dance deserves special consideration as a stress-management tool.

In just 3 weeks, “Adolescence” has become one of Netflix‘s most popular series of all time. The limited series amassed another 30.4 million views from March 24-30, putting it near 97 million since its debut. That’s good enough to land at #9 on the all-time Most Popular English TV list, bumping “Bridgerton Season 2” from the list altogether, and pushing “Stranger Things 3” to 10th place. It’s very likely that Adolescence will continue to climb, considering that the #7 and #8 spots (“The Night Agent Season 1” and “Fool Me Once”) are both sitting around 98M views. And third through 6th place on the list are all in the low 100 mil range, which is perfectly achievable for Adolescence.
‘John Wick’ will be back for a Chapter 5. It has been officially announced that Lionsgate is in development on the next film in the billion-dollar franchise, and star and producer Keanu Reeves will be returning. The most recent film in the franchise, “John Wick: Chapter 4,” took in over $440 million at the worldwide box office, with each of the first 4 films accomplishing the rare feat of outperforming its predecessor.

An app that lets you hire armed security guards to escort you anywhere you go is now available. “Protector”, nicknamed ‘Uber for bodyguards’ – allows users to simply click to call upon active or retired military, SWAT, and police officers to report for duty. Membership costs $129 annually, and services start at $200 per hour, with a minimum 5-hour booking. Protector’s bosses published a video on X showing how the protection team could have stopped alleged killer Luigi Mangione. CEO and founder, Nick Sarath, said: “We rely on law enforcement to keep us safe, but they cannot be everywhere at once.”

I couldn’t believe it when I heard it, but apparently old-school “train-track” braces are making a comeback. In fact, they’re now considered something that they never were in their 1970s and 80s heyday: cool. Orthodontists say they’re noticing a spike in interest in the once-uncool oral appliances (Think ‘Marcia Brady’ in a particular episode of “The Brady Bunch,” Drew Barrymore, aka ‘Josie Grossie’ in “Never Been Kissed,” and America Ferrera in “Ugly Betty”…). Braces are seemingly becoming popular these days among Gen Z hipsters — and even adults who apparently have no problem with putting their corrective can-openers on full display for all to see. In fact, enthusiasts say their braces show that they care about their appearance, and can afford to invest in themselves. Dentists across the US say people are begging for the classic metal braces instead of the less noticeable options like Invisalign. In fact, some people who don’t even need braces are buying fake ones just to hop aboard the trend.
