BIG SCREEN-LITTLE SCREEN
A Dennis Quaid show with a 57% Tomatometer score has been canceled after one season. Throughout his long career in the entertainment industry, there have been many popular Dennis Quaid sports movies, including The Rookie, where he plays a high school science teacher who becomes a Major League Baseball player. Quaid is also known for playing Nick Parker, the father of Lindsay Lohan's identical twin characters in the 1998 The Parent Trap, along with paleoclimatologist Jack Hall in the 2004 disaster film The Day After Tomorrow. He more recently starred in the critically acclaimed horror movie The Substance.
Almost 30 years later, an Adam Sandler comedy is now a streaming hit ahead of its long-awaited sequel. A lot of Sandler's best movies are comedies from the 1990s and 2000s, including Big Daddy, The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. Many of these have plenty of admirers, despite their poor reviews. Although Sandler has added some different flavors to his filmography, with movies like Uncut Gems and Hustle, he will probably always be primarily associated with his joyous lowbrow comedies. This is certainly nothing to be ashamed of, because Sandler has mastered this particular craft. The obvious reason behind Happy Gilmore's newfound success on Netflix is the fact that Happy Gilmore 2 is hitting the streaming platform on Friday.
DID YA KNOW!?
Dogs tilt their heads when you speak to them to better pinpoint familiar words. Your dog is tilting its head when you speak to it to pinpoint where noises are coming from more quickly. This is done to listen out more accurately for familiar words such as 'walkies' and helps them to better understand the tone of your voice. If a dog doesn't tilt its head that often (as those with shorter muzzles might), it's because it relies less on sound and more on sight.

WEIRD NEWS
A British scientist says he has come up with an unusual way to cool your house: yogurt. Yep, yogurt on windows. In a recent experiment, Dr. Ben Roberts from Loughborough University applied Greek yogurt to one of 2 identical test houses. The result? The yogurt-coated house was up to 3.5°C (6.3°F) cooler on hot, sunny days. How? The yogurt forms a thin white film that reflects sunlight, keeping heat out. Dr. Roberts admits he was “pleasantly surprised” by how well it worked — especially since it started as a just a quirky idea. And, he says, don’t worry about the smell: it’s gone in 30 seconds. While it is true that lining your windows with tinfoil blocks even more heat, the good doctor points out that yogurt is cheap – and effective. He says his experiment “shows the importance of treating windows and heat shielding solutions…to reduce overheating.”
