SURVEYS, STUDIES & SUCH
Turns out, American workers hit their peak productivity at 11am on Mondays—right before the caffeine wears off. But by Friday at exactly 12:06pm? Productivity flatlines. A new survey of 2,000 knowledge workers found that while most feel “very productive” during their workday, they still lose over 3½ hours a week, thanks to an average of 53 annoying little tasks that derail their flow. The survey, commissioned by Grammarly, also looked at how AI could help. Younger workers (especially Gen Z) are more eager to offload boring tasks — 62% of all respondents said they’d gladly use AI on the job — especially for repetitive tasks. Top AI wish list items? Tools that are easy to use, write emails, sort data, and take meeting notes. With 76% saying AI will soon be essential at work — probably in the next 3½ years.
BIG SCREEN-LITTLE SCREEN
“Doctor Odyssey” has hit rough waters. Entertainment Weekly reports it has confirmed that ABC’s cruise ship medical drama is ending after one season. News of the show’s cancellation comes in the wake of a lawsuit filed by 3 members of the props crew against parent company Disney and producer 20th Television alleging sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and negligent hiring, retention, and supervising practices. The show’s May 15 season 1 ender delivered closure for every character, making it a surprisingly satisfying series finale for the Ryan Murphy-created show.
“The Comeback” is making… a comeback. The acclaimed Lisa Kudrow comedy series – which brutally satirized the television industry – is set to return for a third and final season, more than a decade after its second run ended, HBO has confirmed. Both Kudrow and series creator Michael Patrick King are back on board, as are Dan Bucatinsky, Laura Silverman, and Damian Young. The new season will begin filming this summer, and is expected to debut sometime next year. The series aired its first run in 2005, before returning for a second outing in 2014.
Not one, but 2 castmembers from “The Secret Lives of Morman Wives” are joining “Dancing with the Stars” for Season 34. Whitney Leavitt and Jennifer Affleck were announced Monday night during a reunion special. As #MomTokers, which is short for Morman influencers, Leavitt and Affleck have seen their star power skyrocket with the success of the reality show, which launched in 2024. They join wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and influencer Alix Earle for the new season. The full cast of celebrities and pro dancers for Season 34 will be announced later.
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci are officially set to return for “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” which has now started production. In addition to the stars of the original 2006 film, Kenneth Branagh will join the cast as the husband of Streep’s ‘Miranda Presley’, the demanding editor-in-chief of Runway magazine. Disney’s 20th Century Studios confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing just a teaser of 2 devilish red pumps. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/bdh9j4dt
DID YA KNOW!?
Some recent viewers of the Netflix documentary “Trainwreck: Poop Cruise” have shared on TikTok their horror at realizing they’ve been on that same boat. Since the 2013 disaster that left the vessel stranded for 4 days without working toilets, causing sewage to flood parts of the ship, Carnival spent $200 million to repair and refurbish the “Triumph”, re-christening it in 2019 the “Carnival Sunrise”. In the past week, TikTok has been filling up with videos from people realizing that they were on the so-called Poop Cruise boat, with one captioning their video: “some areas STUNK, and we never knew why”. OF THE DAY
A study found that most Americans will have to work into their 70s and 80s to be able to retire.
For years, most men basically skipped training their glutes, focusing on abs and biceps instead. But now, the “big butt” is having a moment. Fitness experts say more men are taking part in Pilates and glute-focused workouts, and even lining up for hip thrust machines at gyms. John Rusin, a trainer, explains that men have traditionally chased broad shoulders and big arms, often ignoring their lower bodies. But that’s changing fast. Why? Many men now see the value of strong, functional glutes. And some have come to the realization that, just like in women, a great butt not only looks good, it gets noticed—helping in both sports and dating. And you know what? Even though most Brazilian butt lifts are still done on women, more men are getting them these days, customized to keep a masculine look

WEIRD NEWS
No one walks down the aisle thinking, “Can I get store credit if this doesn’t work out?” But one ex-bride gave it a shot. South African wedding photographer Lance Romeo recently went viral after a former client, whose 2019 marriage didn’t last, asked for a refund on her wedding photos. Her reasoning? She’s divorced now and “doesn’t need them anymore.” Romeo, while stunned by the request, fired back with a sharp reply, writing: “I can’t untake the pictures. Take care now.” Predictably, the internet had thoughts. One commenter wrote: “Does she want the vows refunded too?” Another compared it to asking for a haircut refund because your hair grew back.
