Marketing experts say that Sweeney’s influence “makes her a compelling candidate for Bud Light, especially as the brand considers options in responding to past criticism.”
Universal Studios Hollywood has completed its “2025 Halloween Horror Nights” lineup with the announcement of additional scares inspired by “Poltergeist”, “The Purge” and “Blumhouse”. Located on the iconic Universal backlot, guests will encounter iconic villains including ‘The Grabber’ from “The Black Phone”, the possessed from “The Exorcist: Believer”, the killers from “The Purge” franchise and ‘M3GAN’ herself. Those who purchase the R.I.P. Tour upgrade will get to meet select characters featured on “Terror Tram”. The scares start September 4 and continue through Nov. 2.
The Gary Sinise Foundation is partnering with the Bob and Dolores Hope Foundation to put on an exhibit at the Battleship Missouri Memorial and Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, from August 30 to September 2. The Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band opening commemoration concert will take place on the grounds of the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, America’s WWII aviation battlefield, on Saturday, August 30.

Scientists in China unveiled the world’s first robot with emotions and it’s now on-sale to consumers.
Scientists are working on developing ice cream that won’t melt into a sticky mess. Inspired by Japan’s viral Kanazawa Ice, which survived heat without turning into puddles – researchers looked at polyphenols, antioxidant compounds found in fruits. These seem to stabilize ice cream by interacting with proteins, creating a network that holds fat globules in place. And by using high-dose polyphenol, the result was ice cream that can withstand a blast from a hair dryer. The problem is that when the ice cream does eventually warm, it turns into a rubbery solid, not a drippy disaster. And wants that? Will these desserts, designed to hold their shape for hours, ever make their way to an ice cream stand near you? Only time will tell.

McDonald’s is going full nostalgia mode this summer, with the new McDonaldland Meal. For the first time in over 20 years, the full cast: Ronald, Grimace, Hamburglar, and crew – are back in the form of figurines. The meal comes with your pick of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese or 10-piece McNuggets, fries, and a collectible tin packed with postcards, stickers, and character goodies. But the real star? The limited-edition Mt. McDonaldland Shake, inspired by the fictional volcano with blue “lava” and pink “clouds.” McDonald’s kept the flavor secret, but it has been confirmed that it is berry, not cotton candy, as rumored. One reviewer called it “fruity and bright without being cloyingly sweet, making it surprisingly drinkable for a dessert shake”. THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER PUT IN YOUR DISHWASHER:
✗Acrylic dishware or accessories: Crazing (small cracks through the acrylic) can occur.
✗Brass, bronze, copper, and pewter items: High-temperature water and detergent can cause discoloration.
✗Cast-iron cookware: You risk removing the seasoning — the baked-on oil in your pan that helps prevent food from sticking. That can cause the pan to rust.
✗Insulated mugs: Unless they’re labeled “dishwasher-safe”, water can get inside the seal between the layers of these mugs, which can affect their ability to retain heat or keep drinks cold.
✗Nonstick pans: If it doesn’t say “dishwasher-safe”, the washing process could wear away the coating.
✗Sharp knives: Even if they’re labeled dishwasher-safe, it’s better to wash them by hand because they can get dull by rubbing against other cutlery in the basket.
✗Tin items: Tin will rust if washed in the dishwasher. Best to hand-wash and dry them immediately.
✗Wood: Water and heat can result in your wooden salad bowls or cutting boards warping and cracking.
