A new survey suggests people can barely tell AI-generated music from tunes made by humans. Ipsos asked 9,000 listeners in 8 countries to compare 3 samples: 2 created entirely by AI and one by humans—for streaming service Deezer. The result: 97% couldn’t tell the difference, and over half felt uneasy about it. Many respondents worry AI will flood platforms with low-quality music and reduce creativity, though AI-generated tracks are rapidly gaining traction, rising from 10% of daily streams in January to over one-third by October. 80% of listeners want AI music clearly labeled.

Daniel Radcliffe is ready to pass the “Harry Potter” torch. He spoke to “Good Morning America” about the Harry Potter remake series set to premiere on HBO in 2027, and shared that he sent Dominic McLaughlin some words of encouragement as the child prepares to embark on his own adaptation of the fantasy series. Radcliffe revealed that he wrote to the boy to say: “I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did.” He also noted how young the 3 leads of the new series seem, saying: “I just see these pictures of him and the other kids, and I just want to hug them.”
Kevin Spacey says he is currently homeless, as a result of the sexual misconduct allegations levelled against him. With the “House of Cards” actor returning to the entertainment industry 2 years after being found not guilty following a costly legal battle, he told The Telegraph that he is “living in hotels” and Airbnbs, and “going where the work is.” Spacey said he “literally” has no home, noting that he lost his Maryland house “because the costs over these last 7 years have been astronomical.”
Ricky Gervais‘ next stand-up special will arrive on Netflix on Dec. 30. “Mortality” was filmed this year at the London Palladium. It’s Gervais’ 4th stand-up special, following “Humanity,” “Supernature” and “Armageddon”, and it promises: “no topic is off limits as Ricky closes out the year with his best show yet.” The logline says: “Gervais takes on his own mortality in a brutally honest and darkly funny stand-up special about his life, death and the state of the world.”
DID YA KNOW!?
Did You Know... A Cloud Can Weigh Over a Million Pounds? Clouds may look light and fluffy, but they actually weigh a lot more than you'd think. A typical cumulus cloud can weigh over a million pounds due to the water droplets it contains. Luckily, the weight is spread out evenly, so we don’t see clouds crashing to the ground!

Mickey Mouse just turned 97.
As AI chatbots become more realistic companions, they’re starting to impact marriages – and even appear in divorce cases. Divorce attorney Rebecca Palmer says some spouses form deep attachments that feel like real affairs – especially in struggling marriages. Users have reported relationships ending after partners spent money (on things like paid subscriptions, personality upgrades, or role-play add-ons), and shared personal information with AI companions. Courts are increasingly seeing AI cited as a factor in divorce, and some states may classify AI as a “third party” in marital misconduct, though not as a person. While some find comfort in AI, experts warn that we could see an uptick in divorce rates as lonely partners turn to bots for connection.

WEIRD NEWS
If you’re hard of hearing, Viagara might help. A new study found that sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, may reverse a form of hearing loss linked to a gene mutation. Researchers discovered that this gene normally helps produce nitric oxide, key for nerve signaling in the ear. When it fails, ear hair cells die. In tests on fruit flies with the mutation, both an amino acid supplement and sildenafil improved hearing, suggesting a potential new treatment beyond hearing aids

With the holidays fast approaching, many people say they are planning their “survival strategies” for family conversations. A survey of 2,000 adults in the US found nearly half would rather sit at the kids’ table – or just rely on wine in order to deal with their relatives – especially millennials. Across generations, people agree that certain topics are off-limits: politics, money, and comments about weight. Instead, most steer toward safer ground like food, wine, travel, hobbies, and their social lives. Some even fake phone calls or bathroom breaks to escape awkward discussions. Wine preferences spark their own playful debates, from ice in wine to cocktail mixers. Despite the discomfort, most say holiday chats help them learn more about loved ones – especially over a shared meal. Here are some of the most-dreaded questions that people said they don’t want to be asked during holiday celebrations…
✗ “Do you have a girlfriend?”
✗ “So, when are you going to lose those holiday pounds?”
✗ “Who did you vote for?”
✗ “What did you do to your hair?”
✗ “Why won’t you go to church with us?”
✗ “When are you getting married or having kids?”
✗ “How much are you making now?”
✗ “How come you haven’t come to visit?”
✗ “Can I borrow money?”
